Impact of Behavioural Intention on E-Wallet Usage During Covid-19 Period: A Study from Sri Lanka

In recent years, there is a noticeable increase in cashless transactions due to financial technology development. With the enhancement of fin-tech products like e-wallet, most consumers shift from cash-based cashless. particular, locked down Citizens country had no other choice than stay at home COVID-19 pandemic Sri Lanka. The social distancing and avoidance physical touch were significant measures escape virus. use digital electronic cash transfers was encouraged every nook corner country. present empirical study aimed investigate predictors behavioral intention on e-wallet usage during period. This adopted practical research design online survey method gather users' perceptions area by applying an extended acceptance model (TAM). follows quantitative approach gathering data 500 respondents using Google Form. And collected analyzed regression model. results indicate that Attitude, perceived usefulness, ease use, cost, Risk, COVID – 19 are positive usage. contrast, Subjective norms, facilitating conditions do not significantly influence Further, e-wallets should be avoid unnecessary visits banks, implement distancing, while exchanging amid Lanka create attitude among citizens towards adoption economy. Finally, this helps marketplace's service providers understand usefulness for transaction purposes.
